IRIS (Ideate,Refine, Implement and Succeed) is our internal crowdsourcing ideation platform for 100,000+ associates that helps visualize a business opportunity by creatively identifying market demands and analyzing competitors.  We do believe that our young innovators from universities would also add value to our business demand. Hence, to motivate and encourage the culture of innovation to a wider set of audience we have planned for a hackathon for universities students.

Hackathon Schedule :

Evaluation of working POCs would be done online over webex.

Rewards :

Top winning team per theme would be eligible to win cash rewards as follows:

·       Winning team – 50K

·       1^st Runner up – 25K

·       2^nd Runner up – 15K

·       Consolation prize ( 2 in no.s) – 10K each

Rules

Ø  This is a team participation hackathon. You can have at most 3-5 members in your team.

Ø  It’s an online hackathon, you can participate from anywhere.

Ø  There are 3 themes of the hackathon, you must submit your idea against any one business challenge.

Ø  You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, any idea that has been copied from somewhere will be disqualified.

Ø  Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration. You may use open source libraries and other freely available systems / services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc.

Ø  The intellectual property of your code belongs to Tech Mahindra Ltd.

Process for participating in a hackathon

Ø  Click on: https://iris.techmahindra.com Being external user, use the “Click Here” link to register.

Ø  Enter the details and click on “Register”. We will verify your details and will send you a link to confirm your registration. Post that you can change the password and login to IRIS using email id.
