JOB ROLE & Location: Software Engineer, Hyderabad
Eligible Branches: CSE & IT
Marks Cut off: 70% throughout, above 80 % throughout will be preferred first.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Software Engineer will work as part of the Vassar Labs team to design, develop, customize and implement Vassar Labs suite of products & solutions. The primary role is to develop the product as per specification, quick turnaround in addressing any shortcomings, mentor the team, and ensure the quality of the product.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate and contribute to Design, Development and QA discussions/processes
- Develop the product specifications at the functional and implementation level
- Develop the product as per the specifications
- Evaluate various technologies for the product/platform
- Mentor junior members of the team
- Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure product quality
- Develop the overall product for secure, high performance, extendable enterprise platform
- Prepare operations, interfaces, user and solution documentation as required; and Provide inputs to documentation team on product features, issues and resolution
- Provide support to the Sales team as needed with product demonstration; develop Proof of Concepts, technical inputs, feasibility study etc.
- Willingness to work on new technologies, across components.
Knowledge & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High level of competence in Data Structure, Algorithms and Programming
- Knowledge in Computer Science or related technical field with a good academic record.
- Possess strong technical and analytical skills, along with a high level of attention for detail
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Expert in Java and OOPS concepts
- Expertise in SQL and Databases (any RDBMS)
- Experience in Communication technologies (including XML, Web Services, JMS)
- Excellent communication, written and verbal skills are mandatory
- Knowledge of Enterprise software deployments (SOA, ESB etc.) is desirable
- Knowledge in using Agile methodology is desirable
- Knowledge in Web development (Servlets, JSP, etc.) is desirable
- Knowledge in Mobile development (Android-based) is desirable
- Knowledge of working in a product development company will be a plus
- Knowledge in Cloud solutions & management, IoT domain will be a big plus.
