As discussed last year, the Intern Placement comes under our College Graduate Program and is for a three-year period. The candidates thus recruited under this program come under a different guideline for salary start and increases year after year until the completion of the CGP. Please note below the following points –
1. Employees that we hire for this program are engineering graduate students from Mechanical, EEE, Electronic Communication Engineering and any Computer Engineering – who meet our eligibility criteria
2. On completion of Internship of 6 months, they are assigned to different verticals based on the need in our IT Division at ChennaiEligibility Criteria
1. Students should graduate out in 2023
2. Students from engineering streams of Computer Science and Engineering or IT, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering; and Electrical & Electronics Engineering
3. Students should have scored atleast 70% throughout their graduation so far
4. Students should not have any history of arrears throughout their graduation so far or any standing arrearsSelection Process
The Interns who meet the eligibility criteria will have to take a test consisting of three sections – Logical Reasoning, Maths and English. The shortlisted students will be called for a Group Discussion and the final shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview.Though the drive is now, onboarding of the Interns would be in Jan 2023. Once a student is told that he is selected and the student is given an offer letter (a week after he is informed), there should be a process from your end to delist the student from any further registration for placements.Salary Growth Path
A. During Internship (until they complete graduation – till around Aug/Sept) the Interns are paid INR 15,0000 per month – they are on temporary roles as they are yet to graduate
B. On becoming permanent (from Sept/Oct) – they are paid INR 375,000 per annum
C. After completing first year – all the Interns are moved to INR 475,000
D. On completion of 24 months – they are placed anywhere between 500,000 to INR 650,000, depending on the ratings (Meets, Exceeds, Exceptional) that each of the Interns get
D. After 36 months – they are paid anywhere between INR 525,000 to INR 775,000, based on ratings again.
E. At the end of their CGP tenure, these employees will be merged into the normal GSI (General Salary Increase) Cycle like the other employees for Performance Appraisals and Merits.
