Designation Trainee Assistant Store Manager
Job Description 1) Job Purpose

To assist with the store manager in the store operations in an efficient and professional manner to ensure quality service to the customers. And, to provide prompt, efficient and courteous service; display salesmanship and hospitality, interact and assist with the Senior CCAs and CCAs to ensure that sales are proceeding smoothly.

2) Job Context

An assistant store manager has to assist the store manager in the daily operations and is also supposed to take various roles in the office as needed. The assistant store manager has to manage the relationship with the visual merchandising team, projects team in the absence of the store manager to ensure that the upkeep and the maintenance of the store are proper, and has to report to the area regional manager for providing the whole information. Also, in the absence of the store manager, the assistant store manager has to take up the responsibilities of the Store Manager.

Job Purpose of Direct Reports

CCAs: Help the customers in identifying and purchasing required goods and services in a retail store environment. They also encourage the customers to purchase a greater range of products. Housekeeping staff: To maintain the store in a clean, orderly and attractive look from inside as well as outside. Security Guard: To keep a watchful eye on stock, staff and the customers, also preventing any theft or damage.

Compensation details – CTC is Rs 4.75 LPA (Rs 4.25 Fixed CTC + Rs 50k Variable as one-time payment). Additional earning potential of min Rs 50000/- to Rs 100000/- as deferred pay after completion of 24 months and 36 months subject to performance ratings. This is over and above the 4.75 LPA

∙ Contribute to the team efforts for accomplishing desired results  

∙ Daily sales report to be submitted at Wooqer 

∙ SMS to be sent to the ARM and RM about the daily sales 

∙ Below the line activities – store promotion initiatives

Shrinkage control

∙ Ensure the global count as scheduled in the SOP manual 

∙ Ensure that nobody from the staff indulges in pilferage and other activities ∙ Co-ordinate with security guard and staff to keep a watchful eye on customers 

Backroom  

Management

∙ Inventory control as per the standards 

∙ Proactive in taking care of the availability of the stock at the store

Standard Operating  Procedures

∙ Ensures that store opening standards are followed properly

∙ Responsible for personnel planning, work hours, store / team holiday plan ∙ Inventory management and planning for each product category

∙ Ensure effective display and quicker refill without spoiling the garments ∙ Ensure that the housekeeping staff follows the checklist properly ∙ Control mechanical maintenance of lights, air-system, electrical equipment ∙ Reports property damage, request needed repairs within company time frames ∙ Conducts monthly meetings and prepares documents as per the manual ∙ Ensure the installation signage display installed and façade properly cleaned
