Job Description |
Core Responsibilities
· Relay Configuration & Testing: Assist in configuring numerical relays (e.g., Siemens, ABB, GE, SEL) and performing secondary injection testing using kits like Omicron or Doble. · SCADA Integration: Support the integration of Protection IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices) with SCADA systems using protocols like DNP3, Modbus, and IEC 61850. · System Design: Help prepare electrical schematics, logic diagrams, I/O lists, and Bill of Materials (BOM). · Commissioning Support: Travel to project sites to assist with Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT). · Fault Analysis: Participate in analyzing system disturbances and interpreting relay event records or fault waveforms.
Key Technical Skills
· Protocols: IEC 61850 (GOOSE/MMS), DNP3, Modbus, and IEC 60870-5-101/104. · Software: Proficiency in relay coordination software (CAPE, ASPEN, ETAP) and design tools like AutoCAD. · Automation Platforms: Familiarity with RTUs, Gateways, and HMI/SCADA software such as Ignition or MicroSCADA. · Documentation: Ability to prepare technical reports, test sheets, and commissioning documents. |
